Evoqua Wins Exceptional Site Support Performance Award From Chevron, Pascagoula, MS

01/25/2018

PITTSBURGH & PASCAGOULA, Miss.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Evoqua Water Technologies’ (NYSE:AQUA) Environmental Services business has been recognized by Chevron Corporation for Exceptional Site Support Performance from Chevron’s Pascagoula, MS facility.

Chevron’s recognition of Evoqua for “Exceptional Site Support Performance” comprises two parts: zero reported accidents for the year and keeping Chevron compliant regarding Benzene Waste Operations NESHAPs (BWON). Compliance with BWON rulings blends waste, air and water quality management. Evoqua consistently helps maintain Chevron’s compliance at the Pascagoula location. The Pascagoula refinery is Chevron’s largest U.S. refinery and one of the top petroleum refineries in the United States.

“Commitment to both safety and environmental compliance are essential Evoqua pillars,” says Bud Hay, General Manager – Environmental Services. “Our own safety standards are very high and we’re proud of our products and expertise contributing to a healthier environment.”

Through its range of products Evoqua Water Technologies serves approximately 90 refineries across the United States, including 15 of the 20 largest U.S. refineries. Each day nearly two billion gallons of water are used in petroleum refining in North America for such processes as heat transfer, generating hydrogen, crude oil wash, and equipment wash-down.

Evoqua provides equipment, support and services throughout these refineries from water intake, recycle/reuse, and final discharge. Applications include boiler feed water, cooling water, demineralized water used in hydrogen production, off gassing vapor control, and organic and inorganic wastewater treatment and solids handling systems.
